Course Description This course is an introduction to the elements and use of visual media with particular emphasis on graphics, design, photography, and color. Students learn to recognize the elements that comprise a good picture or design in terms of composition, color, visual interest, design impact, and relevance. The psychology of visual perception and elements of photojournalism are introduced. Art and design in relation to print media, television, and film are examined. Prerequisite: None
