Dr. Figo Zhang graduated from his PhD in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. While he was pursing his studies, he already founded Yunzhou Intelligence Technology. As a pioneer in the unmanned sailing industry, he is enlisted on the “Thousand Talents Plan” as the youngest expert. In 2013, Dr. Zhang and his team won the champion in the national innovation and entrepreneurship competition organized by the Ministry of Technology. He was also named “100 World Youth Innovators” in 2014. Besides, Dr. Zhang is holding various appointments in higher education, professional society and youth association including Xidian University, Wuhan University of Technology, Chinese Society for Oceanography, Chinese Association of Young Scientists and Technologists and China Youth Entrepreneur Association.
